What is the main reason for suggesting a VSD in a pump application where part load operation is possible for long periods? Why is the same reason not valid for a pump which runs at full load constantly?

 The VSD application is having wide range of benefits in pumping system, in 
conventional rotodynamic pump the priming of fluid transport are performed at full load 
capacity at all the time. Before implementation of VSD the flow rate are adjusted using the 
nozzle outlet which had impacted pumping blades on long-run by reducing the life / 
durability of the pump. 
 Not all the pumping operation have to be performed at full load capacity,
