Food Service Supply Chain is the movement of food items from the Suppliers through the manufacturers and distribution centers, finally reaching to the customers through logistics (Robert, 2018).
How can be the Supply Chain made sustainable?
Food Service Supply Chain can be made sustainable by incorporating environment oriented practices and preparing for long-term future requirements (Inga-Lena et al, 2015). The supply chain management addresses fast-changing customer demands, diverse market needs, different conditions of suppliers and producers, multiple requirements of distribution networks, and their appropriate regulation. 
The Sustainability can be measured in terms of availability of effective sources of raw materials, concerns of climate change, and various energy efficiency programs which mainly aim to reduce the harmful emissions and increase the efficiency of resources. In general, the supply chain can be made sustainable by adapting the techniques like Carbon Foot Print Reduction, Supply Chain Design ( For example local sourcing) and Reverse Logistics.
