Literature Review and Theory:
The reactors are a heart for chemical industry as 90% of the process initiation starts with reactor which are of several types among then CSTR is studied in this experiment. CSTR reactor are normally made of stainless steel (SS) (or) glass lined (GL) based on reaction scheme used for the process [1]. If the used process is highly co
osive and volatile then GL based reactor is sued, this is most commonly found in pharmaceutical
iochemical speciality industries where sensitive drug molecules are produced in bulk. The main advantage of CSTR is to produce reaction product continuously and in this study, we will be performing CSTR analysis for saponification process a hydrolysis reaction scheme between ethyl acetate & sodium hydroxide giving soap as product and ethanol as by-product.
The overall hydrolysis of saponification process gives us second order reaction kinetics which has been investigated/studied by several researchers/industrial scientists by using the parameter of different temperature and different measurement techniques [2].
