Watch the film and write a 3-4 page paper about of the film answering the three questions below (the most important question is #2. Iwant to know what YOU learned and what YOU think):

  1. What was it about (what country, what population, what was the issue)?
  2. What did you learn? This is not a summary of the film. I want to know what you learned about the world, about social change.
  3. How you can connect what you learned from the film to what you have learned in a class on social change? Use specific examples of things we have read in the text or that we have discussed in class.

When you log into the chat session on 7/22 you will be broken up into groups based on the film that you watched. Together you will present your film to the class. This is in-class group work.

A Brief Overview
Left behind America projects the social changes happening in the Dayton and nea
y cities. In fact, the documentary is developed in such a way that it precisely touches the aspects of employment, dependability of common population over industrial development as well as their migration due to the unexpected scales of recession hitting the local area. For example, during the 19th century, Dayton received some of the huge investment options, which were available at that time.
These investments made the region as socially as well as economically stable. However, due to the unrest at global level in the economic sustainability, the recession could hit America badly and it resulted in the so-called ‘forced social change’. The migration, which the population has gone through, is not only massive but also it has changed what people used to see as Dayton’s pride, the social structure of the region. Additionally, the second highlight of the documentary, which relates to the social change, is the migration of the population, which once used to be local.
In other words, the number of diverse population in the region expanded over other cites due to either...
