Environmental protection has been a highlighted topic in the US among the cu
ent issues today. This is because we survive in the environment and good environment is necessary for a healthy life. Environmental issues require a range of efforts and diverse areas to cover. They include, provision of clean air, clean water, safe disposal of waste, resource conservation and recovery, ensuring potable drinking water and proper disposal of hazardous wastes from industries among others. In short, it has a lot of work under focus and thus requires both money and resources to be taken of properly.
The US government uses a two tier system in the implementation of its laws, the government and the state level. For environmental protection too, efforts are made on both the levels. The federal EPA or Environmental Protection Agency formulates the policies and laws regarding environment protection.
