GEN 480 Reflective Research Paper (Final Paper) Instructions:
Using the ETS test, the FOCUS assessment, and your career plan, gather sources and write a 6 page APA paper (not including the title or reference pages) that analyzes your competencies as a graduate and working professional.
· You will utilize the results/scores of the ETS test that was due week 4. You will also utilize the FOCUS assessment from week 5. You need to ponder these results and question their relevancy, importance, and relationship to your success.
· The ETS test results will tell help you analyze your strengths and weaknesses in several general studies areas. You will integrate the test results and FOCUS assessment results into your paper (and presentation) as you reflect on your past, present, and future career plan as it relates to your skill set, goals, and ambitions.
· First, discuss what you have done in your past. Summarize all of the jobs you have had in the past and reflect on your previous job satisfaction. Also include your previous education, training, military experience or other specialized experience, and cultural background. Explain how these roles helped shape your experiences and cu
ent goals.
· Second, discuss what your career plan was (if you have already had a full career) and/or what your career plan is now. This is an explanation of where you are going in your career and in your life and what steps are needed to get there. For this part, you should also use the FOCUS assessment. Reflect on the results and how those results align or do not align with your career plan and/or personality.
· Third, discuss your ETS test experience and how the test results relate to your past jobs or future career plans and reflect your academic experience. Insert your scores into the chart provided below (cut and paste this directly into your paper). Consider your strengths and weaknesses in light of your career goals and successes. How accurate do you consider the test results? What might these results mean for you?
· Throughout the paper, please include scholarly articles and other credible resources that help you relate your results and jobs into describing you and your goals. For example: If taking the ETS results show that my strengths are in English, and the FOCUS shows that I am good in counseling and I have had jobs in marketing and counseling, I need to describe where I have been and where I am in my career path based on those assessments. I also need to research articles that show, for example, my career path based on my interests and the cu
ent job market.
· Finally, summarize your experience and education and explore your career path (or lifelong learning goals) going forward. Provide a summary reflection of your academic and professional skills and your feelings about the path you are on. If you plan to continue your education in graduate school, or if you desire to change careers, how do the ETS results factor into that plan? How confident and prepared are you for the next chapter of your life?

Career Path Analysis
Jean Luc Coulidiati
Abstract
The career path analysis is an attempt to better understand where I stand as of now, what my academic qualities are and how they can be further honed in future, moreover I aim to draw a blue print of right career opportunities for me, through this assessment. I am optimistic that this assessment would help me discover lot more traits and qualities about myself and help me better prepare for my professional sojourns.
It is indeed a great opportunity for me to take such a closer look to where I stand between my academic capacity and my professional aspirations and requirements. My name is Jean Luc Coulidiati and I come from a small Africa country of Burkina Faso As of now, I am engaged in a small import-export business from America to my home country. I have been living in America for the past fifteen years and have done my higher education and availed subsequent employment opportunities, here in States. I have taken up this assessment in order to better gauge the technicalities about my academic capabilities. I am cu
ently 33 years old and I wish to get a stable management job now where I will get a concoction of challenges, healthy working atmosphere and an innovative atmosphere.
There are two important parameters as proposed by this course and one such parameter is ETS Proficiency Profile. It is being designed to measure the skill and caliber of students in the department of reading, critical thinking, writing and mathematics. All these four sections are extremely important and practically relevant in every sphere of work. For many of the jobs, this is often the primary criteria for selection of candidates. I took the test on 5th august 2018 from Wilmington University. I accumulated a total score of 431 out of 500. There are two set of sub scores; one is skill dimension and the other is context-based. In the skill dimension subset, subjects like Critical Thinking, English, writing and Mathematics are evaluated and in context-based subsets subjects like Humanities, Social Sciences and Natural Sciences.
The experience of taking exam was good; I was very much excited for the results and the subsequent recommendations. The test scores are listed as follows:

Furthermore, the profile also demonstrates the level of Reading and critical thinking, writing and mathematics on a scale of not proficient, marginal and proficient. In majority of my assessment, I performed quite poorly and my knowledge and skill level is not proficient in majority of them.
Furthermore, I also got the chance to assess myself on the Focus test parameters that further provided me insight about what are my likes, dislikes, inherent strength and...
