Background
The immigration detention is a policy where the individuals are held in case they reflect any violation in the visa document or shows evidence in the illegal entry of the individual. These individuals are then subjected to detention and are deported until a decision is being taken by the authorities of the detention center.
Research Question
What are the challenges that are faced by the deportee in the immigration centers and how the immigration-related challenges affect the psychology of the detained individuals in the detention centers?
Summary of the Interview Questions
While ca
ying out the interview, an emphasis was given on the challenges that the detained individuals were facing. There were many detained individuals, who had been going through a difficult period in a new country with completely different sets of policies and regulations. The idea was to have an understanding of what the detainees had in their expectation while they waited for their decisions. Another aspect that was revealed in the interview was the way the government treated the migrants while they were been detained in the detention center. From the psychological point of view of an individual, this interview was crucial to study the impact of the individual when they were detained at a younger age.
Hypothesis
H0: The process of resolution and decision-making for the detainees are fast.
H1: The detention center follows stringency that results in anxiety and depression among the detainees.

There were five people, who were selected for the interview in the study.
