King James has an attitude that is quite easy when he talks about the disputation. He suggests
other Raymond to be the face of the Christians in the disputation. King James thinks that the disputation can be won easily since he thinks Jews aren’t good enough to present a valid point and hence, they do not stand a chance. The real reason is that king James knows nothing about Judaism and hence he underestimates its teaching and everything related to it. He behaves like the disputation is some kind of sport or tournament that is meant for entertainment.
