Written Assignment
The focus of the research question is to :
Critically evaluate the usefulness of three strategic analysis/planning tools that may be used to help TH or E organisations plan for change in the light of Brexit. You should give industry-examples from across the TH or E sectors to inform and illustrate your answer.
Method:
Written assignment (50% weighting).
The written assignment, presented in a structured report format in 3rd person, must include:
· an introduction to the sector and an overview of present trading situations.
· clear explanation of the relevant theoretical concepts of your 3 chosen analytical tools and how they can be used within the organisations.
· an evaluation of the effectiveness or otherwise, of organisations cu
ent strategies from within the organisations and THE sector.
· your overall recommendations for the future development strategies of these organisations based on your secondary research findings,
· a conclusion in which you critically review your learning from using and applying strategic theories to real life examples.
The Harvard System must be used for referencing, and a list of references must be included in alphabetical order at the end of the assignment. You must use between 15-20 different reference sources (comprising different books, journals, e-sources, etc.). You must include the page number of each direct reference.
The assignment must be approximately 3000 words (+/- 10%), and uploaded onto Moodle by 23.55pm on the 25th January 2019 latest along with the feedback sheet. You must include a contents page with page numbers and also indicate the word-count at the end of the assignment.
Submission of the written assignment.
1. When you have completed the written assignment run an electronic copy of your “formative draft version” through Turn-it-In on the HLT6021 Moodle site. You are allowed one attempt only. This will identify any plagiarism issues. This is an optional facility for you to use.
2. When you are satisfied that there are no plagiarism problems run your “final version” through Turn-it-In on the HLT6021 Moodle site. You are unable to alter the final version after it has been processed through Turn-it-In as this copy is stored electronically.

All reports are marked according to the following criteria. The lecturer’s mark is provisional. After work has been internally/externally moderated and ratified at the Exam Board, the mark will be confirmed. (Resubmissions are capped at 40%).

An excellent assignment which demonstrates an authoritative grasp of the concepts, methodology and content appropriate to the subject. There should be indication of originality in the application of ideas, and in the synthesis of material.
