Choose a specific product from a company you are familiar with and create a social media campaign for that product.
You can choose a product without a gigantic/enormous presence – here are some examples: Digiorno Ultra Thin Pizza, Strong Lipstick by Lush Cosmetics, Bass Pro Shops XPS Walleye Jigs, Women’s 10K Lakes Tank by www.218gift.com, Nutella, Pearson’s Salted Nut Roll, Dawn dishwashing soap or other similar products.
Do NOT choose an Apple product, a Nike product, an Adidas product or a pro sports team. Why? Because it is too hard to come up with original content that works. These companies have legions of experts working for them.

Part 1 – Short Paper - Use section headings to organize your paper.

  1. A separate title page with the title of the project, your name, the course and the date.
  2. Product:Describe the product in detail and list the features and benefits of the product.
  3. Target audience: Describe your target audience in detail: Who are you targeting with this campaign? What age group? What education level? What gender? What socio-economic status? Are they located in one geographic area? Do they have special interests or hobbies?
    • You must make the target audience narrow. It will be a very difficult project if it is too broad.
  4. Social media campaign:Create a social media campaign for your product. We have looked at many different campaigns this semester. There are many ways to have a successful campaign – you can create a promotion, a contest, or a special event. Be sure to describe your campaign in detail.
    • Check to make sure that you are not copying a campaign that the product you chose has already used. Use your imagination – but be sure to tie your event to your product.

  5. Social media platforms: Choose two (2) different social media platforms to launch your campaign. Describe why you are choosing each platform. Be sure to include demographics about each of the platforms and be able to match up the target market with your social media platform choice.
  6. Measurement section:How will you measure your success? What metrics will you use? Describe in detail.
