    1. Assessment Method:[PAPER]Students will determine trends specific to corrections and recidivism obtained from statistical data sources. This data will then be used to evaluate best practices and provide justification for the use of those practices in the community setting. Students will also explore data that would justify the barring of release for various groups of offenders. Elements to address will include victimless crimes, criminal histories of the offenders, barriers to reintegration, and sex-offences. The students will then demonstrate the impact of the elements on recidivism.

    • Community correction eligible crimes

    • Reasons justifying denial of Parole

    • Reasons justifying community corrections

    • Racial and socioeconomic issues surrounding corrections

    • Crimes considerations with corrections

  • The paper will be written to APA standards inclusive of the following:

    • An APA cover page

    • An abstract

    • A reference page

    • In-text citations

  • The student will provide no less than the following:

    • 2+ pages of text not inclusive of the Title page, Abstract page, or Reference page(s).*

    • 2 references (Wikipedia is not permitted as a source; ever).

  • The paper will be in Times New Roman 12 point font.

  • The paper will have 1” margins all around.
