Social Science Integration Report

Purpose:
To integrate their social science learning journey, students are to review their completed assessments from core social science units in Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 of the course. (see file completed assignments for these)
Process:
For each unit, including Work-integrated Learning and Project units, select samples from
completed assessments that illustrate:
• Development of knowledge in social science.
• Development of skills in applying social science knowledge and concepts to real
world settings
As part of the process of reflecting on the course, identify the major conceptual themes for Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 of the course.
Write a report that integrates the selected assessment samples and course themes, using a
eflexive writing approach to document reflections on the learning journey.
write an overarching statement of your understanding of social science as a
discipline.
In the final section of the report, critically evaluate how the course has facilitated students’ attainment of the ACAP Graduate Attributes. (see file ACAP Graduate Attributes for these)
Academic references are to be used to support the analysis.
Your report will need to address:
• Demonstration of integrated key learnings in social science developed over the course
• Samples of assessments from core units integrated into the report to demonstrate knowledge of social science and application of social science knowledge and concepts to real world settings
• Critical evaluation of the course experience
• Demonstrated skills in reflexive writing and reflective practice
• Wide range of references used to support the report
• Articulation of social science as a discipline
• Main ideas clearly and logically presented
• Relevant research literature used appropriately to support claims
• Presentation guidelines followed as specified in the learning support website (http:
sls.navitas-professional.edu.au/college/acap) and first/ third person writing style is applied where required
• Academic writing style is used, including co
ect spelling, grammar and punctuation
• In-text referencing and reference list follows APA referencing style (7th ed.) as set out in the APA website: http:
