1. Explain the action of the circuit if the thermostat should fail to operate.
The thermostat will fail, either in open position or closed position. So the operation affected will
either be the opening or closing of the circuit. If the thermostat fails in open position the FR coil will
not be energised and the FR contacts will not close and the fan will fail to operate in the auto mode.
