The Atlanta Exposition Address," paying particular attention to the 2 paragraphs on p. 573 beginning with "Cast it down... ." and ending with "...essential to mutual progress." Take notes on his tone and diction. Do the same with Du Bois' piece "III. Of Mr. Booker T. Washington and Others" on pg. 694. Consider the differences in backgrounds between these two men.

	I agree with the response made by Booker T Washington here because he is able to relate with the slavery and freedom as well as to the onset of commercial sector in United States. His opinions, though they sound persuasive and peculiar by writing, still appeal to the logic of people.
