Ethics refers to decisions which requires adherence to the set and acceptable rules or code of conduct which helps decide what is right and wrong. These rules or code of conduct are a reflection of the beliefs and values of a society.
Recognising the existence of an ethical issue is always the first step in addressing the inherent challenges.
An ethical issue is one which arise from being right or wrong. As stated by Howard and Korver (2008), ones decisions about ethically right or wrong must identify whom to include, or who will be affected. Simply put the effect on others is the matter of concern. They arise when core values have been ignored or violated (Kidder, 2006).
