Universal health care is a health care system that aims at providing health care protection to 
all the citizen of the nation. The main objective of this policy is to help the society in its 
growth by providing proper health services, subsiding financial risk associated to health 
services and achieve better health outcomes (Derickson, 2005). This policy is provided to the 
people on the basis of three major factors that is who is covered, what services are covered 
and the cost involved.   
It has been a controversial topic that whether US have a universal health care system or not. 
Before researching to a conclusion, here both the aspect of the system will be analyzed.
