1. No, the details of the lax oversight and crushing pressure of the Well Fargo’s that caused a scandal were not surprising. It was seen that the company wanted to maintain a high standard in the market by having a large number of accounts that insisted their employees adopt such steps.
2. With the help of Herzberg’s motivational approach, it can be said that motivating factors such as recognition and achievement tends to boost employees performance more. The responsibility of employees increases when they are motivated by an incentive scheme in an organisation (Chiat and Panatik, 2019). Overpressure on the employees caused them to increase the accounts despite having a low deposit rate.
