Please read the followings SMART GOALS:

I wish to focus on Communication and the Management Accounting skills competencies throughout the semester. Each of these two has its unique significance in the current professional and personal developmental requirements. The two competencies chosen over here are communication for the personal goal and management accounting for the work-related goal:

· Communication – One has to communicate properly to let people understand his ideas and talents. The capability of oneself has to be properly communicated to others (Kerschbaum et al., XXXXXXXXXXSo, communication is very important for professional as well as personal life.

· Management Accounting – Management accounting is one of the most important technical knowledge a CPA must possess. Proper advice is to be given to the organization on the financial data available and the proper management of the financial assets (Chanegrih, 2008).

Smart goals to improve personal communication skills:

o Communicate with twenty people in ten days.

o Take interview of three people in ten days.

o In two days write a paper which will contain the goals of life.

2. Smart goals to improve management accounting in professional life:

In one day gather information about the main three areas of management accounting.

In one month read 100 real-life cases on management accounting.

3. Timeline to accomplish the above goals is shown below:

1^st June 2019 to 10^th June 2019 – Communicate with twenty people.

1^st June 2019 to 10^th June 2019 – Take interview of three people.

By 15th Jun 2019 – Write a paper on life goals.

25th June XXXXXXXXXXGather information about the main three areas of management accounting.

1^st August XXXXXXXXXXRead 100 real-life cases on management accounting.

Communication skills are required across all professions, irrespective of the profile of an individual. According to Dicke, Elling, Schmeck and Leutner (2015), the more people communicate with others, the higher are the chances of improving their communication skills. If we communicate with unknown people, the chances gets even better. I have communicated with more than 22 people by the end of the semester. This has helped me gain confidence while talking with unknown people.
Previously, I was hesitant in approaching unknown person, but now I do not have any hesitance in talking with anyone. As noted by Jackson (2016), communicating with large number of people has helped me in gaining knowledge about various domains and coping up with the hesitance of approaching others. I learned that confidence is the most important thing in communication and communicating with others had helped me grown in confidence.
I have taken interview of three people in the last semester and the same has helped me in gaining knowledge about various top of management accounting. I have interviewed two teachers and an individual from the corporate world. Interviewing the teachers has helped me in learning various academic skills such as cost accounting and others. 
On the other hand, interviewing the personnel from the corporate world has helped me in identifying the topics that are used in practical scenario and the manner,
