Paine has been one of the philosophers and an intellectual political enthusiast in the US during the Colonial rule of the UK over the US. Common Sense is a literary work of political assertiveness that has been written by Paine in order to depict the overall scenario of the oppression and the economic inability of the US during the rule of the UK over the US.

Paine’s Common Sense instils a sense of revolution and realization of the present status that America faced during the 17th Century when the British ruled the country. Common Sense depicted a formal code of conduct existing during that era and its negative impacts on America. It also highlighted the alternative changes that America needs to implement to ensure that they raise as a united front to drive the British from their mainland.
In this text, Paine had ensured that the distinct differences between the government and society are classified and recognized by the society as two discrete elements and that both should be given equal importance. However, during that time, these were seen as indifferent which led to the lower prosperity of America.
Therefore, the development of awareness of the citizens for developing the sense of distinction is required to be ensured by the citizens. Paine demarcated that the government was required for a country with the utilization of the people and ensure that the society is happy. This is a positive aspect, which is recognized in Common Sense. Paine focused on developing a society initially and then supported the development of a government.

ect in its essence in terms of the welfare of America. Paine wanted to establish the fact that all people are equal and that no people should be considered as God. Therefore, the overall symbolization of harmony among the people is important to be learnt and understood from his text.
Even the Old Testament supports his views as the equal treatment of people in their desired positions and considers them not to be above God. Similarly, he also stated that in many cases, hereditary reigns lead s to inappropriate results for a country. Therefore, these should be avoided to enforce a perfect and legal sense of order. This is supported by the fact that merit should be involved in choosing the perfect representative for a country.
Paine lists another important topic for reconsideration to develop a separate form of revolution among the colonists to enforce a free form of the army for the Americans. This will ensure that they are separated and outcast the British from America through revolution. This was justified at that time as America had the resources to develop their navy and army to drive the British away from their country.
