The research proposal should:
1. Contextualise the research problem within an anticipated or existing classroom setting. Discuss the significance of studying the identified issue and its context. Draw ideas from your readings of the literature. State the major research question as a direct product of this discussion. (Expected length 600 – 800 words).
2. Propose and describe a feasible small-scale pedagogical project that incorporates an intervention program in teaching Economics to Secondary class students. The program must relate closely to the articulated research problem. It should be justified through a focussed review of related literature and constitute a component of your anticipated teaching program in a specific key learning area. (Expected length 800 – 1000 words).
3. Describe and discuss anticipated ethical concerns and ways of securing clearance and site access to implement the project (Expected length XXXXXXXXXXwords).
4. Describe the action research cycles you plan to implement as part of the proposed program. You should include a coherent set of concrete scheduled actions. Show your implementation schedule at least for a first action cycle. These actions should be observable and appropriately justified.
5. Propose a set of research procedures to monitor the expected change or impact of your program (anticipated outcomes). Specify the methods you propose to collect the evidence of change. These methods and procedures should be in coherence with your research design. Make sure to construct and present at least one major instrument to help you gather the evidence. Discuss the targeted constructs that are being measured by this research instrument. Show how you plan to ensure confidence in your evidence. Attach a copy of the research instrument in the appendix. 6. Propose an analysis of the collected evidence and an evaluation plan for determining the impact of your program and how you plan to present the anticipated results. (Expected length 800 words).
