MITIGATION, PREPAREDNESS, RESPONSE AND RECOVERY: PERSONAL VIEW ON KATRINA 
Introduction 
	Hurricane Katrina is one of the greatest disasters in the history of United States. Thousands of human lives living in the coastal regions had to suffer from personal and professional state of loss due to the massive impact of rain, tidal waves and storm that could hit the Waveland, Bay St. Louis, and Pass Christian and almost entire Gulf of Mexico, the known source of hurricane. Since 2005, the congressional report about investigation and finding out the gaps in addressing the disaster at administrative level has posed some grave concerns over the entire system and most importantly, failures to exercise mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery are concluded in that report. These four are major criterion of disaster management system at national level. The following is an analysis of the above four parameters at personal level i.e. how I would have changed the whole perception of these four categories in order to address the hurricane based disaster fully. 
Mitigation 
	If I were to deal with mitigation, I would rather choose to imply the most advanced networking system to assess the possible threats caused by Katrina. In my view, our present Homeland security system does not yield positive consequences in terms of dealing with the 21st century catastrophic outcomes. The predictions are at times go astray i.e. the real time predictions are not well in order so that a proper coordination is established between the national coastguards along with the Homeland securities. Mitigation is by far understood as the process through which, the impacts of a disaster can be suppressed by taking precautionary measures and they can be taken only when the prediction system about the natural calamities like hurricanes and earthquake is mostly accurate. 
At least, these predictions should have that imminent response system by locating and tracing the areas where the impact of disaster can be higher than other regions;
