Introduction
The assignment addresses the concepts of the Incident Command System. All forms of government i
espective of size and type of incident implement the concepts of ICS. The ideas and theories of the ICS are easy to apply as an emergency manager. As different governing bodies face situations such as natural disaster, political and financial frauds, state of war and diplomatic dispute, the need for ICS cannot be denied. Through this essay, the learning of the ICS would be discussed elaborately.
Learning as an Emergency Manager
Through the concepts of the ICS, I have learned several things as an Emergency Manager. The learning are:
Accountability
I have learnt that the Emergency Manager must be accountable for every incident.
Accountability can be improved with the increase in the supervision of the activities. Any kind of disaster can be restricted or prevented if there is proper supervision of every action (Hanifen, 2017). ICS has taught me that on the occu
ence of any emergency incidents, it is the accountability of the supervisors. The sense of responsibility reduces the chances of risk through adequate supervision.
For example, during an earthquake, the emergency manager must be accountable to the victims for the availability of proper shelter and safety. Considering the complexity of the administrative structure of different governing bodies, people in need of emergency tend to rely upon the ICS personnel, who
