Ans2.Difference in annual temperature between Manaus, Brazil and Nairobi in Kenya is discussed as follows:
Because Manaus and Brazil are located closer to the equator than Nairobi is, the average yearly temperature in these two cities is higher than in Nairobi. Although there is not much of a temperature difference between Manaus and Brazil due to the fact that the equator runs through the northern part of Brazil and the sun's rays are refracted in such a way that they fall perpendicularly in this region, the temperature in this region continues to be relatively high. Manaus is located to the north of Brazil. While Nairobi is located to the south of Brazil, it is still farther from the equator than Manaus, the capital of Brazil, and as a result, it has a cooler climate. Consequently, we are able to say that the reason for these disparities in temperature is because of their position in relation to the equator.
Ans 3. The orientation of the equator of the Earth with respect to the Sun remains constant during the course of the year. The Equatorial Zone of the Planet is Particularly Sensitive to the Effects of the Sun. On the other side, during the month of June, which coincides with the summer solstice, the sun shines in a direction that is perpendicular to the Tropic of Cancer in the northern hemisphere. This occurs when the sun is in its most southern position. The 21st of June is the day that this takes place. And then again after half a year on the 22nd of December on the Tropic of Capricorn, which is also known as the Winter Solstice, people living in the southern hemisphere of the earth experience the same level of heat and light emanating from the Sun as those living in the northern hemisphere of the earth do at that time. Aside from these two occu
ences (solstices), when day and night last exactly the same amount of time in both hemispheres, day and night never overlap in any other circumstances. The months of March and September are the only periods of the year when the sun's rays are able to reach both hemispheres of the globe and give them with the same amount of light and heat. The vernal equinox, also known as the spring equinox, takes place on March 2, and the autumnal equinox takes place on September 22. Both of these equinoxes are considered to represent the beginning of spring. When observed from the equator, it appears as though the sun moves from left to right across the Northern Hemisphere, whereas in the Southern Hemisphere, it appears as though the sun goes from right to left across the region.
Ans 4. At the beginning of winter in the northern hemisphere, the sun's rays only strike the surface of the Earth at a straight angle (which indicates that the sun is directly overhead) at the Tropic of Capricorn. If you were to stand at the Tropic of Cancer during the summer months in the northern hemisphere, the sun would be right over your head. The Tropic of Capricorn is the circle that denotes the point at which the sun is directly overhead at noon on December 21, the first day of winter in the northern hemisphere. This point is located at a latitude of 23.5 degrees south. Whereas Manaus is located in or close to the tropical dry forest biome, Nairobi is located in or close to the subtropical dry forest ecosystem. It is cu
ently 9 degrees Celsius (16.3 degrees Fahrenheit) cooler than normal.
The average monthly temperature swings in Nairobi are greater by 1.9 degrees Celsius (3.4 degrees Fahrenheit). The continentality subtype is more accurately described as hyper oceanic rather than highly hyper oceanic. It rains an average of 1361.2 millimetres less each year, which translates to 33.41 gallons less per square metre or 13,612,000 fewer gallons per hectare or acre around one-fifth as much. The city of Nairobi enjoys an...
