When I was teenager, I couldn’t respect my parents so much, but after I encounter with my mentor, I changed my feeling toward my parents.
I was born in Japan, and came to Unites States while I entered early twenties. Because I influenced by my mother who watched Hollywood movie all the time.
I remember, since when I was toddler, I sit next of my mother, and watched Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, 007, and any of romantic movie from the Hollywood.
One day, I saw vast blue sky on the sky in Japan, I determine to visit in America to see same sky in the American cinema.

The most influential person in my life
The most influential people in my life is my mother, father and my mentor. As a teenager, I couldn’t respect my parents as much, but after I encountered my mentor, my feeling toward my parents changed. I was born in Japan, and came to Unites States when I entered early twenties mainly by the influence of my mother who watched Hollywood movies all the time.
I remember, since I was a toddler, I sat next to my mother, and watched Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, 007, and many of the romantic movies from Hollywood. This inspired me to a great extent to visit America.
My mother was a photographer in Japan and I am proud of her because in a country like Japan it is very difficult for a female to become a professional photographer. I have preserved many photos that were taken by my mother. She was an impressionist and took numerous pictures of the mount Fuji or very mystic objects of co
oboration. Sometime she took pictures from the sky. These would be my legacy and memories of my mother.
My memory of my father are more of his sufferings, not only for his illness of Diabetes, but also the pain, disappointment and sadness that he faced in life because of it. Then I encountered my mentor and his wife when I was in my early twenties. He is the most respectful person in my life.
The first time I met my mentor is an unforgettable day. He is a founder of a University in California, and my friend keeps telling me how he has dedicated his life to humanitarian causes and has created tremendous place in history through his efforts.
