Q1 - Steady-State of Wind Units
Assume a Type-D SCIG wind unit with the following parameters:
Tu
ine Data: Ng = 6, Rt = 30 m, ρ = 1.225 kg/m
3, λopt = 11.6, cp,max = 0.43.
Generator Data: Number of Poles = 24, Lls = Llr = 0.023 mH, Lm = 2.2 mH, Rs = 1.5 mW, Rr = 1.8 mW.
Inverter Data: Rg = 0.15 W, Lg = 15 mH, fg = 60 Hz.
This generator is connected to a 4.16 kV three-phase grid. The control strategies are:
MPPT control, Vdc = 7800 V, λdr = 2.14 Wb., Qref = 0. Plot the following graphs when wind speed is
changed from 2 to 14 m/s:
a) ωr (rpm) vs. Vw (m/s);
) Iqs (A) vs. Vw (m/s) and Ids (A) vs. Vw (m/s) in the same plot;
c) mqs vs. Vw (m/s) and mds vs. Vw (m/s) in the same plot;
d) Iqg (A) vs. Vw (m/s) and Idg (A) vs. Vw (m/s) in the same plot;
e) mqg vs. Vw (m/s) and mdg vs. Vw (m/s) in the same plot;
f) Pm (MW) vs. Vw (m/s) and Pout (MW) vs. Vw (m/s) in the same plot.
