‘Relation between Langston Hughes' work and Harlem Renaissance’
Langston Hughes was an African American poet, novelist, literary worker and a social activist who was considered as the active leader of the Harlem Renaissance. This phase was generally considered as an artistic and literary people’s revolutionary period which mainly took off in the 1920’s to middle of the next decade where many black African American artists flourished and did well as public interest in their literary works took off and became accepted by the people to become a part of the mainstream society as a whole. That period was also experiencing a phase of discrimination of the blacks by the whites and the writers like Langston were heroes to the lower class black community living in Harlem during that period of time. That period was good because there was abundance of artistic contributions from the black community. Harlem was actually a district in New York and this renaissance had an impact on the African American socio cultural and artistic aspects.  In short if we may summarise about the impact of Hughes in this artistic movement and revolution is by breaking the boundaries with his poetry and the renaissance's lasting legacy.
