inging/coming to hospital for medical procedures. Upon discharging from hospital, they don’t have anything to wear.
· You need to write down from my reflection in the abstract which is below to determined why I get this idea to start working on this project.
The reflection. (it is 300 words to give you an idea about the project)
Life is based on unseen circumstances and up and downs are the parts of life. Sometime the event in the life change a whole life perspective. After that person observed the life with a different angel. Here, I want to reflect on one of the event in my life which pushed me to think about those vulnerable people who have less or no social contacts in the society.
Event
It was cold rainy morning, around 11 o’clock when an ambulance
ought an injured person in an Emergency Department. The patient was very badly
uised and bleeding. His clothes were full of blood and tore. Fortunately, he was lucky to survive in the car accident but had bad injuries. Being an only carer to his mom he was all in all of his house. Mom was an elderly woman. The family was vulnerable, poor and unfortunate. Due to which she was very distressed and helpless.
The patient was admitted in the hospital in intensive care unit where he was handed to emergency staff. With the high professionalism of Ambulance paramedics and hospital staff the patient managed to survive. At the third of the accident, the patient was able to talk and eat. After two weeks patient managed to walk. Now it was the time to go home.
Being a social work student in hospital, I am working on the discharge refe
als of the patients.
The are many issues which the patients face upon the discharge. The clothing of the patient is the main Issue which I will focus on this project. I observed many times patients who
most often I observed, after the recovery and clearance from the hospital patients face difficulties in getting the clothes. For this purpose I want to proceed on the cloths donations project.
