One of the reasons why people were resistant to evacuating when Hurricane Sandy was being forecasted, was that previous evacuation warnings from Hurricane Irene were inaccurate. The consequence of not trusting the science was deadly for many residents that chose not to evacuate. As scientists, we develop mathematical models that allow us to predict the path and intensity of hurricanes. The accuracy of these models are increasing with time and new data; however, there is always some level of forecasting error. Interpret the following graph in your own words, as a complete paragraph.
