Introduction – 
                             This  report is based on the industrial 
visit on 15-09-2012 to a 1.5 MW hydropower plant  
“Hanuman Sagar” located at Wari (Hanuman). 
The  power plant is installed on a dam built on a river 
“Vaan” on the boundary of 3 districts viz, Buldana, 
Akola, Amravati. The plant was working since 2007.
About power plant : 
                                                     The “ Hanuman Sagar” project is one of 
the mini Hydro projects in Maharashtra. It has capacity to generate 
1.5 MW power. It is used at base load period. It is not connected in grid. 
It has given a separate 11 KV feeder of the nearby town Hiwarkhed.
Reservoir : 
                                  The dam is built on the river “Vaan” at Wari .
