The Cold War is one event that is a period of geographical as well as political tension, which prevailed between the U.S. and Soviet Union along with their respective allies. This had taken place right after the World War II, which generally spanned from the Truman Doctrine that had taken place in 1947 until the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. Cold War name is used for this event because during this period no big war or fight between the two superpowers (Niebuhr). The Cold War was basically waged on the political, economic and the propaganda fronts and it had very limited resources for the weapons.
