1.) WATERSHEDS
The five ecosystem goods and services are as follows:-
1) Clean and Fresh Air
2) Drinking Water
3) Fresh Water Fish
4) Timber
5) Honey
2
Ans:- Clean and Fresh Air = .$.5*365 days * 760000 people = $138.5 million
2) Lets average drinking water consumption be 2 litre and the cost per litre is $.4 per litre.
Hence the total cost will be 2*.5*365*760000 = 277 million
3) Lets average consumption be 1 kg per person per 5 day with $5 per KG rate. Hence the
cost will be 5*365/5*760000= $277 Million
4) Timber :- Lets average consumption per person per year will be 1 m3 with $365 per
M3. So total cost will be 377 million
5) lets average consumption per person will be .2 litre per year with $5 as cost . hence
total cost is .766 million.
Hence the total cost will be sum of all five = 970.66 million
c) The health of the ecosystem will be assessed in the following ways:-
1) By measuring the quantities of harmful pollutants in ppm such as lead etc. in the
su

2) By measuring the quantities of Harmful chemicals in the water in ppm.
3) Presence of Flora and Faunas in the su
ounding area.
4) Presence of harmful chemicals in soil in ppm
5) Estimation of average noise pollution in the mystic water shed.
By collecting above data and comparing with a healthy ecosystem data can only make it possible
to make prediction about the healthy ecosystem.
