I have to write a three paragraph essay on Bushido. The first paragraph has to be about what it is, the second about how it melded with japanese culture and the third is about Bushido in Japan today. I need three sources for each paragraph put in footnotes and no intro or conclusion!

Bushido and modern Japan
Bushido was the code of ethics followed by Japanese warriors since the 8th century. It can be said to be a kind of doctrine of life for the fighting warriors of Japan. Its lingual meaning is bushi- warrior and do- way, collectively translated as ‘the way of the warrior’. The early feudal warriors from nearly 8th century onwards followed the Bushido code which was later inherited by Japan’s Samurai Warriors. The legacy of the code continued even after the Samurai’s into the World Wars are thereafter. The principles of Bushido were rooted in honour, frugality, fighting skills, courage, valour and loyalty to their master.  The Bushido code has many similarities to the chivalry of the knights in feudal Europe. The main ideas of Bushido can be summarised in seven principles. These are- Rectitude, Courage, Benevolence, Politeness, Veracity, Honour and Loyalty.
