describe your thoughts, feelings, and initial reactions to change. Be sure to include personal examples.
Reacting to Change
I am a person with lots of anxiety about random things so initially when something changes I always first go into panic mode. it is something that I am working on each day. For example when I first moved to the USA for college six years ago it was hectic. I was such a sheltered mommy's baby and moving here to join my two older sisters away from my mother and father is probably the dream for most teens but it was extremely scary for me. I cried at least once a week asking them to
ing me back it was to the point where I was losing so much weight it became unhealthy. I was so used to everyone doing everything for me that when my sisters asked me to do the smallest thing I cried. sometimes i think about those days and i laugh at myself and give myself a pat on the back because of how far i have come. I now leave with my
other I am responsible for everything in the household it is amazing how much i have grown.
describe the steps you took to understand the change and how you described the change to others. Be sure to include personal examples. Framing Change
I opened myself to what going to college would add to my life. I grew up away from my older sisters and older
others because they went to school in south Africa while my younger
other and I stayed in Congo with our parents because we were too young. After my first semester ended and I went home for Christmas I was only separated from my sisters for a week until they joined me back in Congo but i missed them so much so after the holidays I began to see being in college as an opportunity to get to know my sisters and get closer to them i envied how close they were to each other, I wanted to grow, become more responsible, I saw college as an opportunity to meet new people, make memories with my sisters and new friends and that really helped cope with everything. My sisters taught me how to cook, pay bills, do my own laundry and when i messed up it made us laugh and created awesome memories.
describe the steps you took to understand the change and how you described the change to others. Be sure to include personal examples. Managing Change
I think that when i understood where my frustration was coming from it made things better. I did not really have a problem with classes it was more just first day jitters and that went okay because for my first week of college my mother came to school with me and waited on campus until i was done with classes I am so lucky to have a mother like her. I understand that my frustration came from the idea of living with these two individuals who were kind of strangers to me they left for South Africa when i was 8 years old and i only saw them on holidays for like two or three weeks and now i had to leave with them. we did not always get along when we saw each other because i was not used to having people tell me what to do it was always my
other my parents and me. So i just felt like i was dumped away with these girls i love but i don't like. But the more time we spent with each other the more we grew to like one another, less arguing, they understood that i was not acting a certain way on purpose i just did not know how to do things for myself, i became more willing to learn and we created schedules for chores with time they gave me more responsibilities i em
aced it, it made me feel all grown up we got closer to one another and i=now i miss our trio. I discovered that i love cooking living with my sisters i even became the cook, i would call my mom for recipes or watch videos, i discovered that i am an obsessive cleaner which i did not know about myself. I learned how to take care of myself and others when my younger
other came for college it was great to teach him things.

Other notes and assignment explanation
The change: moving to the USA for college 6 years ago. My notes are attached.
One goal that I would like to keep to help guide my personal philosophy is having an open mind when facing change or situations rather I agree with it or not to prevent me from closing myself and becoming anxious.

What is the value of doing this assignment?
Major change is an inevitable part of personal and professional lives—both changes that aren’t desired and those that we actively make. For example, you may unexpectedly find yourself apartment shopping because your landlord has, once again, raised your rent. Or perhaps you have decided to find a new job that will help you develop the skills needed for a promotion.
When we have our lives ordered and planned, change can seem like a problem. And like any problem, dealing with change requires a solution. An important part of coming to a solution is understanding your personal philosophy of change. A philosophy of change is how you react to, frame, and

RESPONDING TO CHANGE
Reaction to Change
Everybody has their response to any change they face in their lives. Considering one of the most impactful changes of my life of moving to the United States for college, it was a very crucial decision concerning my future and I was stuck with several kinds of mixed feelings and emotions in my mind. I was happy and at the same time I was very nervous too as I was going into a completely different world than the present one. I suffered from anxiety as I was unable to make out how am I going to survive on my own in an unknown world without the physical support of my parents. By the time I moved to US, I lived under the guidance of my parents and siblings and therefore, missed them in and out. This was a very tough situation for me and I faced a number of physical, mental and emotional challenges. Thinking of those days still give me goosebumps but I am lucky to grow enough to manage contingencies, which come across. Things slowly seem to be fine after a few efforts to settle down were put in (Blom, 2018).
