    Stephen King, in the novella Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, highlights how dreary the life can be inside the prison. What I liked about the plot is the character of Andy, the protagonist and his undying spirit. The way he confronts the challenges at the prison—and it does not appear to be his fault to be there initially—is remarkable. Andy is more like a born leader, made to device new ways of survival in extreme conditions.
