How can I calculate gate length of my laptop cpu using its clock speed rate like i7- 2.3 Ghz? that is all i got to do the calculations. of course it would be ok to have some reasonable assumptions.

Step 1 is calculating CPU clock speed 
CPU clock speed is calculated by multiplying the CPU frequency (also called as FSB (front side bus) clock 
speed) by the CPU's clock multiplier or clock ratio. 
For example Intel i7 processor has an FSB clock speed of 330MHz and a clock multiplier of 7.
