In this chapter we have learnt that critical, social science, and interpretative are three approaches to identity that exist. Book gives us the detailed explanation about the topic Identity. It says Identity is both changing and static, according to a dialectical perspective. Furthermore, it has been discussed about the culture in context of identity. A growing number of multicultural individuals live "at the crossroads" of two or more cultures. Discrimination and Stereotypes are sometimes based on identity features (Martin et al.). Author highlighted few aspects such as regionality, country, class, religion, ethnicity, race, age, sexuality, Gender, and other factors of our life all contribute to our sense of self/ Identity.
