· ‘Yes’ to drivers
Select ‘Download’.
This will download an installer.
Run the installer
· This will install NI Package Manage
· Accept the License Agreement
After installation Package Manager will launch and begin the installation of ‘LabVIEW and Drivers’
· When prompted deselect
· NI 488.2
· PXI Platform Services
· NI Sync
· Select ‘Next’
· When prompted deselect (the following names may not be exact, but should be clear enough)
· LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit
· NI Vision Toolkit
· Select ‘Next’
· There will be a number of summary screens you need to get through select ‘Next’ on each of them.
· LabVIEW will begin to install.
· The software package is large and the process will be slow.
· The installation will take approximately 45 minutes on a good internet connection.
You will be prompted to activate the software
· select ‘Enter a Serial Number’ from the dropdown selections list.
· In each box provided enter the following license key.
· M85X53790
· This should activate 3 items,
· Select ‘Finish’
· You may be required to restart your computer.

· Assignments are to be completed as an individual effort.
· Code should be organized and follow a logical flow
· Code should be well documented and commented
· The front Panel should be tidy and well organized and should have a polished appearance.
· Your front panel should identify what it is
· A penalty will apply for late assignments and no assignments will be accepted after solutions are passed back.
Design a simulation of a traffic light intersection as is indicated in the picture below. This is just a sample. Your traffic light can have a unique appearance if desired.
You will receive a mark up to 60% for this basic functionality
· Your VI provides the reasonable timing and typical behaviour that you would expect at an intersection in Halifax.
· Implement all functions except the walk signals.
You will receive up to an additional 40% if your controller:
· implements the WALK signals. Make sure that the flashing DON’T WALK and the solid on DON’T WALK precedes the light changing to RED.
Your VI must:
· Use a case statement
· Use shift registers
· NOT use a flat sequence.
