1. What was the reading about? State in one complete sentence the theme of this work.
Presented readings reflected the history of ISI, areas where they fought and the collaboration of forces, which brought the group down and led to establishment of Iraqi government.
2. How did the author get the information? How did they put together and present this information? Was there a particular structure to the work? Was it qualitative, quantitative, and/or comparative? Was it based on textual research, observation, and/or participation? Etc.
In order to conduct the study, author collected data from various sources. Considering the footnotes and references used by author, it is evident that author used a mixed approach where secondary literature such as journal articles, research papers, books and newspaper articles have been used. Likewise, author also referenced and matched the data with original websites for authentication. Therefore, this paper is a secondary qualitative research. Narrative approach was used in order to explain and present various instances and incidences of ISI emergence and combat. It would be essential to consider that there was no specific structure followed, rather the wars and incidences were followed in a sequence of 2005-2010 in order to bring a conclusion.
