Background of study (research gap/problem)
To foster innovation and organizational learning in the hospitality industry, leadership and management must completely be blended. Management and leadership must be in perfect harmony. Without effective managerial leadership, there can be no real teams. The most important person for building high-performance teams is the Hotel General Manager, along with department managers (Şeşen, Sürücü & Maşlakcı, 2019). He or she will help people learn, encourage job advancement, and, if at all possible, push them to come up with creative solutions to problems. This ability is not shared by all management styles. Though a suitable leadership style must be adopted by management. Additionally, there are a lot of managers whose understanding is limited to management which comes from the top down as a result of their up
inging and exposure to it. They hold firmly held beliefs. The "democratic" leader, who is the opposite of an authoritarian manager, is likely to be marked by tolerance and the willingness to admit ignorance. In managerial leadership, one of the main issues is the expansion of people's capabilities (Dashper, 2020). Indeed, all managers and directors must consider the growth of employees' strengths. It will be advised not to mismanage it.
