All this work is handed in via word document on CANVAS
Look on the menu below the Assessments link on the left hand side of the module on the CANVAS site. The formative work upload portal is accessed from that menu list. There are folders for Formative 1 and Formative 2 assignments for Marc and Joanna’s groups. Please submit to whichever group you belong to. Formative 3 is for everyone (regardless of group).
Formative Work 1:
Due in on 4th November 2019
1) Find a general text book on an introduction to sociology / the sociology of Health & illness.
In a WORD document:
Write the Harvard System Reference for the book you have found using the Harvard System.
Give the Library classification for this book.
2) Conduct an electronic search of EBSCO Host to find a research study on the impact of Stigma on Public Health
In a WORD document:
Write a short outline XXXXXXXXXXwords) of the research study you have found, in your own words. Give an in-text reference at least once: Author (date) or (Author date).
Use the Harvard System to give the reference list entry for the study at the end of your outline.
Formative Work 2:
Due in on 2nd December 2019
In a WORD document: (250 words max)
Write up a short essay plan of 250 words (1 page only) for the assignment. We will comment on your work.Only the first 250 words will be commented on
Formative Work 3:
Due sometime in the week beginning 16th December 2019
Upload the final draft of your essay via Canvas/Turnitin and get a report. This will show you how much you are plagiarising without perhaps realising it. It will help you to understand how to reference correctly as well.
