Introduction
Ecovative was founded by Gavin McIntyre's and Eben Bayer university project. In 2007, Innovators Alliance and The National Collegiate Inventors awarded them $16,000. Steelcase, Puma SE, and Dell are among the companies that have commercialised the creation of EcoCradle protective packaging. Ecovative Design announced collaboration with Sealed Air and launched a new production facility in April 2012 to boost packaging material production. In 2014, their substance was employed in a brick form in the Museum of Modern Art's 'Hy-Fi,' a 40-foot (12-meter) tower on exhibit in New York (Saint, 2021). 
Assessment – Mushroom line
For the assessment, this paper selected their product Mushrooms. Natural fungus is used by Ecovative as a sort of 'biological glue,' glueing agricultural waste together to create fibreboard goods and sustainable packaging. This mycelium, or "fungus roots," may grow to be fairly lengthy, with a good amount of the capacity and structural strength to adhere to plant tissue. With a mould to form the desired shape and heat to dry everything out (and destroy any leftover fungus), you can make wood fast or packaging, sustainably and easily (PBS, 2013).  
Mushroom Packaging is Ecovative's signature product, and it's been adopted by firms including Merck Forest, Stanhope Seta, and Dell. Their Myco Board is an ecologically friendly alternative to plywood and fibreboard that can be easily moulded into the necessary shape. Because of its versatility, it has been chosen as the seat back material for Gunlocke's Savor range of office chairs, as well as the material for Enjoy Hand planes' Mushroom Board Fish bodysurfer hand planes.
