course, you will write 2 papers of at least 1000 words each. Combined with

more. Follow these instructions for the paper:
Choose 2 DIFFERENT CASE STUDIES FOR EACH
PAPER - these can be cases we discuss or those we don’t;
as long as they are from the course materials, any case
study will work. NOTE: for this class a case study
involves a historical event that is studied and analyzed.
All of our discussion topics are case studies EXCEPT
THE FIRST ONE. The video on The Yes Men (which
involve many cases, so keep that in mind), Blackwater,
and the UBI discussion are all case studies as well as the
cases in the course text that specifically have “Case
Study” in the title Oh, and for both the Yes Men video and
in the text the Bhopal disaster is definitely a case study.
2. You are to analyze both case studies chosen using
ONLY ONE of the following ethical theories FOR
EACH PAPER: Kantian Deontology, Utilitarianism,
Ethics of Care Theory, Virtue Ethics, Friedman’s
Stockholder Theory, Freeman’s Stakeholder Theory,
Ho
esian Realism.
3. Make sure you provide a paragraph that accurately
describes the theory you will be using.
4. Make sure you describe the case study before you apply
the theory. Ultimately, you are to determine whether the
actions taken by the individuals/companies in the case
studies are ethical according to the theory you have chosen
to apply. Explain.
5. Provide a general assessment of the paper: What have you
learned?
