Extra Credit Option #3
Right now, as you live and breathe, you are experiencing history. It may be strange to think
about now, but in several decades, you’ll be answering questions posed by your children – and even
your grandchildren about this pandemic (should you chose to patch out some young-uns). ￿ I have been
making journal entries to document the major impacts to me, locally, nationally, and globally. This way
information is not forgotten or lost, and perhaps I can “compare notes” in the future to help with any
historical documentation projects. I also had my daughter in May of 2020, and I wanted to record this
strange time for her to learn about later in her life. While I was sitting in my hospital bed, I also couldn’t
help but wonder what pregnant women went through during the Spanish Flu epidemic. And who
knows—our stories may be the very answers to someone else’s questions in the future!
