Subjugation.
The conditions of the Mexican American was going from bad to worst during the 1 870 to 1 900 in the southwest. In the southwest the lives of Mexican Americans were undergoing great change because industrial capitalism was making its historical presence in the region. Mexicans were forced to leave their lands and portrayed as the landless wage workers to induce the work of the new industrial economy. The development of the American economy in the southwest triggers the process of creative destruction. There was observed a sheer hike in the number of workers who were indulged in the carrying of railroad work, mining and agriculture. There was a sudden increase in the migration of the people from southwest to Mexico as there was a sudden increase in the labor demand. The work opportunities were decided on the basis of race, as the demand for the labor increased the immigrants from the Mexico and the Mexican Americans were compelled to work at low wages and live in poor conditions to survive. Afterwards the economic growth in the southwest and the immigration from Mexico became integrally related. The Mexican Americans of California the landownership pattern became very consistent in California all kinds of illegal works was carried on by force and by fraud.
