Philips Company has been in existence for the past 120 years. Its initial offices were based in Eindhoven, one of the major cities in Netherlands. Philips Company duties and operations are steered by a distinct vision and mission statement policy, which is in accordance to the ISO 9001:2008 requirements. The Philips Company adheres to provisions outlined by ISO 9001:2008 by developing a customer oriented mission statement. The main aim of Philips Electronics, a sector within the Philips Company, includes improvement of its consumers’ lives through production of highly developed products and services. This mission has positioned this company as a chosen customer satisfaction destination within the market.
Presence of a mission and vision statement has enabled the company earn ratings for better performance. The company’s vision includes enabling a healthier and sustainable environment through incorporation of innovative technology (Philips, 2012). Philips is established under two main goals, which include providing the best working environment coupled with a client based operation systems. The company’s goals seek to establish a cordial working relationship for employees within Philips and heighten values of products and services to both its consumers and stakeholders. Other behavioural objectives stated within the vision and mission statement include winning, controlling and creation of team leadership mechanisms. The company aims at capturing a larger market share through production of quality and innovative products and services backed by efficient leadership from the company’s organisational structure (Philips, 2012).
The ISO 9001:2008 requirements on customer policy outline a provision for quality policy through planning and management. According to ISO 9000’s quality policy condition, it is usually the sole responsibility for companies to manufacture and supply products that are able to satisfy needs of different consumers. The quality policy ensures that products produced by companies should have no flaws under any circumstances. In a bid to develop a proper and running company, Philip’s main objective of customer satisfaction aligns to policies and requirements of ISO 9001: 2008. Other quality objective provisions summarized within the ISO 9001: 2008 have been satisfied by the Philips Company through employment and creation of enabling working environment for staff members. This enables production of quality products and services that meet standards of both consumers and the company (Whittington, n.d).
Availability of a vision, mission and objective statement policy is a clear indication of sustainable management for the company.
