Demand for energy is rising coupled by developing countries consumption and there is a 
possibility of low supply that will increase fuel prices in the future to the year 2020. In developed 
countries, there is no possibility of increased market size. In the same period, production and 
exploration activities will be based on energy resources that are harder to extract. Alternative 
energy will be accounting for a small proportion even though energy demand from fossil fuel 
will drop for the projected total energy consumption up to the year 2020. Economically, firms 
will diversify their sources of energy. The landscape of the energy industry will remain 
government controlled highly competitive and with a huge number of competitors who employ 
skilled labor composed of employees of different ages that is high paid to drive their 
performance up against competitors (First solar, 2012).
