The story of Monster follows a teenager by the name of Steve Harmon, who is 16 and has been arrested and awaits trial for playing a part in a robbery that led to the death of a convenience store owner. He is suspected of being directly involved in the murder. The role of Steve in the whole event is never really clarified. We do know that he had planned to take part in the robbery, however, we do not know if he actually did since he denies it.
