Choose your favorite film of all time. If you are not a fan of film, conduct some research on notable films from cinema history and choose one that appeals to you.

In a 1-2 page paper, describe unique features of your chosen film and genre and explain what you like and/or dislike about the genre. You are to analyze what makes your chosen film a good representation of the genre. Name the genre that your favorite film falls under (film noir, romantic comedy, the screen musical, the western, horror, suspense, thriller, documentary/docudrama, fictionalized biography, comedy-drama, etc.). Your written assignment requires APA format, as well as in-text and full reference page citation.

Avatar (2009) is a film that is deeply spiritual and meaningful which is written and directed by James Cameron in scientific fiction convention. The plot is a 'love tale' in general terms; however, many underlying theological and moral concepts are entangled during the film's length. The spiritual and moral meaning may not be understood by some people watching this film for solely entertainment purposes, as a deeper understanding of these values is needed (Cameron, 2009; Ebert, 2009). Avatar is an eternally spiritual movie. As observed in the movie itself, one of several items may be present in a spiritual text; in the situation of Avatar, these characteristics are analyzed as Jake's spiritual journey in the film, where he figures out what he values most in life; Jakes' life transformation and reorganization; and a crisis situation where the Resource Development Administration attacks the Na'vi homeland as well as the values given to the ancestral culture that Na’vi community gives.
