Attached is a set of figures showing a piece of property (dimensions approximately 500 feet by 1510 feet) on Schillinger Road in Mobile,Alabama that will be developed. Note that 2 buildings will be constructed (each 120 feet by 400 feet), and parking will be provided.
the assignment is to ...
1. Layout the buildings, parking, loading access, entrance/exit to the street, etc. (Note that parking should comply with Mobile city codes.)2. See topography provided3. Recommend cut & fill to level the building site4. locate/design a stormwater detention pond(s) to handle a 10-yr storm event (Mobile code)
5. Note that you should size the pond, determine dimensions (length, width, depth), and design the outlet structure. Plan and profile drawings, along with outlet detail drawings should be provided.
6. A final design report will be required, with calculations/drawings attached as an appendix. You can use textbooks, reports, internet, etc

Can just the writer look at them:
1. Make sure every map has a scale and details
2. Show a topo map of the project site (none shown)
3. On figure (plan layout), show a scale, show to scale the entrances/exits, show parking to scale, show paved vs grassed areas.
How many parking spaces are required? Dimensions of each space?
Why are the buildings shaped as semi-circles? Wouldn't this be hard to construct?
Overall, a more detailed drawing is needed.
4. In the text, make sure you reference building areas, paved areas, so that you can quantify pervious vs. impervious areas.
5. Detention pond design does not address the City of Mobile detention pond code. I see NO calculation of pre- and post-
development peak runoff for a 10-year storm (rational method or NRCS method). I see NO calculation as to the volume needed to
store peak runoff or an orifice calculation to maintain a maximum of the pre-development peak runoff rate.
The stormwater pond that you design is for Water Quality...
