Reverse logistics operations are understood as backward integration process in the supply chain where company handles products which are already shipped to the customer. It is worth mentioning that phenomenon of reverse logistics is complex and difficult to understand as retailers do not hold adequate information about which nature products have to be returned or getting overstock. In past years, retailers use manual system for tracking and managing returns as they not pose high physical and operational capacity, which result in product return to manufacturer or discarded. Moreover, manufacturers also instruct retailers to discard product on-site and off-site, in case of product obsolescence and discarded (Nikolaidis, 2012).
